Situated in the southern part of the park, Jhirna operates year-round and is famous for its wooden cabins and expansive grasslands. Wildlife Highlights: Jhirna is ideal for spotting leopards, deer, and different avian species. The presence of its open grasslands makes it a hotspot for herbivores, attracting carnivores as well. Jhirna forest Guest house : Night stay bookings at Jhirna Guest house are open annually from November 15th to June 14th for visitors. The facility offers a total of two rooms, with the option for an extra bed available upon request. The forest department has secured the entire area with fencing, and a spacious ground within the campus allows for the observation of animal movements throughout the day. Guests can enjoy kitchen facilities with affordable meal options. Hot water is provided, and electricity is available in the evenings, relying on solar power. Safari excursions commence half an hour earlier for guests at Jhirna compared to those at private resorts, enhancing the opportunity for wildlife sightings. Please note that there is no television available in the rest house, and mobile phone networks may be unreliable within the campus. It is advisable to bring an extra battery or power bank for recharging camera and phone batteries, as electricity is accessible from sunset until morning. Best Time to Visit: Accessible throughout the year, Jhirna is particularly appealing from November to June, although the monsoon months bring a different kind of beauty.
