Jim Corbett National Park
A True Wildlife Haven
This zone is one of the six ecotourism areas within the park and is particularly renowned for its abundant population of exotic birds, making it a true haven for birdwatching enthusiasts. The tranquil wilderness is further enhanced by a variety of wildlife species that inhabit this section of the Corbett forest, drawing numerous tourists each year. Access to this zone is through the Durgadevi gate, situated 28 kilometers from the nearest city, Ramnagar, making it the most remote zone from there. Visitors can also stay overnight at the Lohachaur forest house, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the rich, untamed forest environment. To partake in a day Jeep safari or to stay at the forest rest house, tourists must secure a permit for park entry.
