Exploring Wildlife Wonders: The Thrills of Bijrani Zone
Just north of Dhikala, Bijrani is known for its beautiful scenery and varied terrain. This zone offers a good chance of spotting tigers, while also being easily accessible from the Ramnagar entrance.
Wildlife Highlights: Here, visitors can see a mix of wildlife including sloth bears, wild boars, and several species of birds, making it a great spot for both animal lovers and birdwatchers.
Bijrani Forest Rest House: Bijrani forest rest house remains open for tourist for seven months from 15th November to 15th June.The Bijrani forest rest house does not have a continuous supply of electricity for 24 hours. However, in the evening, the forest department provides electricity for a limited duration through a solar inverter. All lodging options at the Bijrani forest rest house consist of masonry structures (permanent accommodation). There are no tents or mud cottages available. Restaurant and Canteen
The Bijrani Forest Guest House provides a canteen service offering meals and beverages. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the canteen also serves tea, coffee, and snacks. All meals are vegetarian and are available according to the canteen's operating hours.
Room Type & In-Room Facilities
Bijrani Forest Guest House features three distinct categories of rooms:
- Single Bed
- Double Bed
- Four-Bedded Room
All accommodations are naturally ventilated, meaning they do not include electric appliances such as air conditioners or fans. Depending on occupancy, rooms are furnished with wooden beds. During the day, open windows serve as the primary source of natural light, while LED lamps provide illumination at night. Please note that there is no intercom facility in the rooms.
Each room is equipped with an attached washroom, and the Forest Department supplies bath linens and soap for guests.
Jeep Back Safari
Guests at the forest guest house can partake in morning and evening jeep safaris within the Bijrani range. A maximum of six individuals can participate in a jeep safari.
Best Time to Visit: Similar to Dhikala, the best months are from November to June, with early mornings often providing the best wildlife sightings.
